Opteon™ 1100 foam blowing agent is a hydrofluoroolefin (HFO) based solution that can replace hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs), and hydrocarbons (HCs) in urethane-based foam applications. Its chemistry gives polyurethane spray foam insulation a longer shelf life, providing contractors with more flexibility and reducing waste.

The stability of Opteon™ 1100 allows spray foam to work with the metals, plastics, and elastomers in existing equipment, making it an ideal drop-in substitution that enables insulation reformulation without having to change equipment or recipes. Key characteristics of Opteon™ 1100 include:
